The short version
Quetzal reads your code for one purpose: to translate and localize your product. We don't train models on your code, and we don't sell it. To produce translations, your strings are sent to leading third-party AI providers, who process them under enterprise terms that likewise don't train on your data.
What we access
When you link a repository, Quetzal reads the source needed to find user-facing strings and the context around them — components, neighboring text, and translation files. We access only what's required to do the work, and we don't retain your code beyond what's needed to provide the service.
How we use it
Your code and strings are used strictly to detect translatable text, generate and audit translations, and open the resulting pull requests. We do not use your code to train our own models, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.
Third-party AI providers
Translation is performed with large language models operated by third parties (for example, Anthropic). To translate, the relevant strings and their surrounding context are sent to these providers. We use their enterprise and API offerings, under which submitted data is not used to train their models. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, which we encourage you to review.
Account & usage data
We collect the information needed to run your account — things like your email, billing details, and basic usage metrics — to operate the service, support you, and improve the product.
Your choices
You can unlink your repository or delete your account at any time. When you do, we remove the associated data in line with our retention practices. Reach out if you'd like a copy of, or the deletion of, the data we hold.
